And i assume that the fan connector on the card itself accepts only 2 pin so after all that trouble you'll still have no changable fan speed. I had problems with my 9800gtx with 182.22 causing system and video card crashes.

As of now, middle-range DX11 GPUs (460 series) do not fit the budget, and the 8800GT looks like a reasonably fast and inexpensive DX9-10 / OpenGL card for my display resolution Lovely so far. Note this does not mean that the FPS will always be higher on the 186's, it just means they are slightly less sensitive to changes in cpu-speed.
