Maintaining updated ATI Radeon 9600 XT software prevents crashes and maximizes hardware and system performance. I thought it might be solder so I tried the baking trick but that didn't help. How would a 9600 Pro/ XT compare in all this? Re-download new driver and save to desktop 2.

Not neccesarily the fastest as i think that would be the 6800 ultra but also most compatible. They just get slower and suck a lot more at stuff like anti aliasing and trilinear/anisotropic filtering.
